CCHP awarded the first prize for the good practices in preserving and safeguarding the cultural heritage in the Arab region for 2018.
Among the campaign “Our Root, Our Heritage” CCHP has implemented a series of activities in the historic centres of Bethlehem and Beit Sahour, in cooperation with the Shepherd’s Scout and De La Salle Scout.
CCHP has installed alternative energy system for its headquarter (Dar Hazboun) with a capacity of 15 kilowatt, funded by the Government of Sweden – Sida through the UNESCO – Ramallah Office. The system was installed by the SECOND ENERGY company.
A site visit to historical centres and buildings has been organized targeting school children form Bethlehem with the aim to observe rehabilitation initiatives and the possibility of adaptation for modern use.
Within the campaign CCHP launched “Our Root, Our Heritage”, an awareness meeting was organized with students from various schools in Beit Sahour and Beit Jala demonstrating the achievements of CCHP in preserving the heritage and using it as a tool for development and its importance to our identity and resistance.
