Agricultural Villages Near Bethlehem

Artas village is just two kilometers south Bethlehem.  In the Artas Museum one can enjoy the village history and spirit of the past.  The Convent of the Enclosed Garden, Solomon’s Pools are of the most attractions in the village.  Itineraries in the lovely Artas Valley start at Murad Fort, take in the springs, Solomon’s Pools and its water channels, the hill thought to be biblical Etam, the verdant Artas Valley, and the Convent of the Hortus Conclusus.  As well, since 1994 the village has been famous of its yearly Lettuce Festival in spring.
