Among the community outreach efforts and programmes of the Centre for Preservation of Cultural Heritage “CCHP” in Palestine, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of heritage and its sources, the CCHP contributed in implementing one of the activities of the "My Heritage... My Identity" project by issuing a Manual for the Awareness Tools that were produced through this project.

Within the framework of the relentless efforts to protect heritage, and the fact that education is a lifelong endeavor, the name of the Manual was chosen “Palestinian heritage in young hands: let's know, care and work,” as learning by doing is the best way to enhance knowledge and consolidate it in all segments of society.

This Manual aims to help the local community to develop knowledge and understanding of heritage and the dangers that threaten it, and to encourage them to participate more in its protection.

Through this project, CCHP has communicated with different groups of society such as schools, women's and youth institutions, and held discussion and awareness sessions regarding heritage and the Awareness Tools, in addition to practical activities and the application of these tools to a deeper understanding.

It is worth noting that this project is funded by the European Union, which is being implemented jointly by 4 institutions, which are the Efrat Foundation - France, Bethlehem University / Institute for Community Partnership - Palestine, the Palestinian Center for Rapprochement between People - Palestine and Tetraktis Foundation - France.
