These efforts aim at improving the urban situation in the city, and enhance the sense of responsibility of the local community, especially the youth about the importance of cultural heritage and the need to preserve it. This day is funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office.
The works included planting trees and painting in Dar Morcos Nassar building in Bethlehem, which the centre is rehabilitating in participation with Riwaq to be used as the headquarter for the Ma'an for Life Organization that serves people with special needs and help them integrate into society.
