Voluntary works

voluntary 2014 Within the activities and programmes of community participation associated with the rehabilitation projects of traditional buildings carried out by the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) in Bethlehem, CCHP has organized a voluntary work day in the historic town of Bethlehem with the participation of members of the Bethlehem youth council and a group of De La Salle Scout Bethlehem, in addition to the members of the Ma'an for Life Organization.

 

These efforts aim at improving the urban situation in the city, and enhance the sense of responsibility of the local community, especially the youth about the importance of cultural heritage and the need to preserve it.  This day is funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office.

 

voluntary a2014 The works included planting trees and painting in Dar Morcos Nassar building in Bethlehem, which the centre is rehabilitating in participation with Riwaq to be used as the headquarter for the Ma'an for Life Organization that serves people with special needs and help them integrate into society.
