CCHP hosts a Sweden delegation

CCHP hosted on Friday and Saturday a Sweden delegation from Sida specialized in the field of conservation and community outreach, where arch. Issam Juha, director of CCHP, welcomed them introducing the Bethlehem heritage and provides a detailed explanation of the centre's strategy and its role in the preservation of traditional buildings and historic centres adapting it for the benefit of the community.

 


For this, CCHP organized a mutli-events programme included a visit to Kholoud Deibes, minister of the Tourism and Antiquities, where she talked about the ministry's programmes and activities in maintaining the cultural heritage in Palestine, and the tourism promotion of the tourist, historical and religious sites.

 

In addition to visits to the rehabilitated buildings implemented by CCHP, such as Dar Sansour in Bethlehem which serve the Wi'am Palestine Centre, Hosh Abu Fannoun in Nahaleen used by the Palestinian Medical Relief Society as medical centre, Hosh Shawasheh in Hussan used as a kindergarten and Dar Qumsieh in Beit Sahour "Restaurant and Artisana Dar Al-Balad", where the delegation met with Mr. Hani Al-Hayek Mayor of Beit Sahour who explained the case of the historic centre in Beit Sahour and the municipality efforts to revive it.

 

sida mission101 In addition to the implementation of planting activity in Dar Makhlouf in Beit Jala with students from Beit Sahour and Beit Jala as part of the centre's activities to promote awareness and preserve the cultural heritage.
