CCHP lectures about the Nomination Document

nomination wiam2011 The Research and Training Unit team of the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation, have delivered a lecture about the Nomination Document to inscribe Bethlehem on the World Heritage List – Birthplace of Jesus: Church of the Nativity and the Pilgrimage Route – to the ladies of the Palestinian Center for Conflict Resolution (WI'AM) at Bethlehem Peace Centre.

 

The lecture was presented as a part of the public awareness campaigns organized by the centre, and was divided in two sections; during the first section, architect Nada Atrash introduced the history and background of the World Heritage, in addition to the works conducted to prepare the Document.

 

The second part was presented by Mr. George Al-Ama, and included a presentation about the Pilgrimage Route and the historic town of Bethlehem and its development, and the relation between the pilgrims, the culture and the handicrafts that have influenced the development of the town. The meeting was concluded with a discussion during which the ladies have showed their interest in the topic.
