Workshop on Agricultural Watchtowers

manateer 2011 As part of the activities held by Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) to celebrate its 10th year anniversary through the generous fund of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida", and in cooperation with BirZeit University and Al-Quds University, a lecture entitled "The Agricultural Watchtowers in Palestine: a Case study of Al-Tireh Neighbourhood and the Village of Ein Qinya" was organized in December 20th, 2011 at Bethlehem Peace Centre.

 

The lecture was prepared by Shadi Al-Ghadban, the Associate Professor in Architecture – Department of Architecture at BirZeitUniversity, and Salah Al-Houdalieh, the Associate Professor in Archeology – the Higher Institute of Archeology at Al-QudsUniversity, and was attended by representatives of local institutions and municipalities and other interested partners who have engaged in the discussion.

 

It is worth mentioning that this lecture is a result of two years of research conducted by both professors Al-Ghadban and Al-Houdalieh on the Agricultural Watchtowers in Palestine.
