Cleaning activities

syrian cleaning2011 As part of the awareness activities occurring along with the Rehabilitation of Hosh Al-Syrian project, which is funded by the Italian Cooperation through Palestinian Municipalities Support Programme (PMSP), Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation and Bethlehem Municipality held cleaning activities for a number of local and International volunteers who were hosted by International Palestinian Youth League (IPYL) in Hebron.

 

The works have taken place in the area where the rehabilitation works are being implemented.  There were 24 volunteers whom nationalities vary between Italian, Spanish, Swedish, French, Canadian, Irish, Japanese, Mexican, Australians and Palestinians.  The volunteers have comprehensively worked for four days 21st, 22nd, 29th and 30th of December, in which they helped in removing piles of accumulated stones and ruffles, cleaning the Hosh, and the destruction of unwanted extensions.  The works also witnessed the participations of local children who helped the volunteers in their work
