Heritage for Development

EU visit2012 As a point of advocacy campaign that accompanies the implementation of EU projects, the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation CCHP organized a site visit for reporters from Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, on the 9th of March to the town of Bethlehem, in order to introduce them to the EU's project being implemented in Bethlehem (Heritage for Development (Her4Dev): investing in people for the rehabilitation & management of historic city centre).

The site visit started with a tour to the Pilgrimage Route - the historic route leading to the town and proposed along with the Church of the Nativity in the nomination document to inscribe Bethlehem on the World heritage list, and visit to number of projects implemented by CCHP in the Tour.

The group also visited CCHP where they were introduced to the work of the centre and its activities, and was concluded with a visit to the church of the Nativity; the Guests described their visit as being interesting and fruitful, and expressed their happiness over the experience.
