Workshop for tourism sector in Bethlehem City

tourism work syrian2012 As part of the awareness activities concerning the" Rehabilitation of Hosh Al-Syrian for the Adaptive reuse as a guest house" project, which is funded by the Italian government, Via the Italia Cooperation office in Jerusalem, through the Palestinian Municipality Support Programme (PMSP), Bethlehem Municipality, In cooperation with CCHP held a workshop regarding the "Touristic Significance of Hosh Al-Syrian project".

 

 The Workshop took place in Bethlehem Municipality hall and was attended by representatives of the local authorities, workers on the tourism sector, members of Bethlehem city council, and representatives from CCHP.

 

The workshop began with a welcoming speech from Arch. George Sa'adeh Bethlehem's Deputy mayor where he indicated to the role the municipality plays, along with other community based, organizations particularly CCHP in preserving the cultural heritage resources in Bethlehem City.

After the speech, Mr. Mohammed Owaineh of CCHP gave a presentation about the project and pointed out its economic significance, and on what contribution this project can have in developing the tourism sector in Bethlehem City. He also stressed on the importance of working side by side with professionals from the field of tourism in order to have a considerable outcome.
