A cultural – educational trip to Jericho

In cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and Bethlehem Municipality – Workers Union, the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) has organized a cultural-educational trip to Jericho within the community participation activities done by CCHP. The Antiquities department in Jericho welcomed the participants and introduce them to Jericho’s historic landmarks giving them valuable information on these sites, where around 110 persons participated.

The trip is part of "Know your country" programme which aims at introducing the community to the ancient and cultural sites in Palestine and ensuring their importance and the cultural and architectural value, specially Hisham Palace in which the participants got to know the history and the beauty of this place.

The programme is funded by The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" – Ramallah.
