House of Hope Inauguration

H.o-3 Under the patronage of Rula Ma’ayah, Minister of MoTA, the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation celebrated the completion of the rehabilitation works for the House of Hope in Beit Jala; a project implemented through the "Local Development through the Rehabilitation and Revitalization of the Historic Built Environment in Palestine" programme and funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office.

 

H.o-1 Pastor George Awad, director of House of Hope, Nichola Khamis Mayor of Beit Jala, Arch. Issam Juha director of CCHP, Juneid Sorosch Wali Head of Culture Unit, UNESCO, and H.E. minister of MoTA praised the efforts in reviving the heritage and preserving our cultural identity and contributing to job creation, and providing a descent and equal services to all community segments.

 

 

H.o-4 At the end, Mohammed and Jafar, two blinded children from the House of Hope Society, sang a song thanking all parties for their efforts in saving this society that serves this sector of the community.
