Nada Atrash Eulogy

Nada eulogy-1 Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation organized an eulogy for Arch. Nada Atrash, Director of the Research and Studies Department at the CCHP, on Monday the 7th of November at the Peace Centre Hall.

The eulogy was attended by the Minister of MoTA Rula Ma’ayah, Mayor of Bethlehem Vera Baboun, Mayor of Beit Sahour Hani Al-Hayek, General Director of Bethlehem Directorate Fuad Salem, Director of Political Guidance Office Jamal Dar’awi, General Director of Directorate of Local Government Shokri Radaydeh and large number of representatives of local institutions, friends and colleagues and workers in the field of cultural heritage.

The ceremony started by reciting verses from the Bible by Pastor Munther Isaac, followed by speeches from H.E. Minister Rula Ma’ayah, Mayor Vera Baboun, Mayor Hani Al-Hayek, Dr. Hamdan Taha a cultural heritage expert.

 

All of whom, mentioned and pointed out to Nada’a role to Bethlehem and Palestine in protecting and highlighting the Palestinian Cultural Heritage locally and internationally, and her outstanding work in the preparation of the nomination files for the inscription of Palestinian sites on the WHL, and the protection and management of cultural heritage and historic centre, and what she has left of articles and researches in the field of cultural heritage.

 

Nada eulogy-3 At the end, Arch. Issam Juha, director of CCHP announced the establishment of a library at CCHP for the memory of Nada Atrash. We are proud of this heritage treasure and miss the presence of our dear sister, not forgetting her extraordinary role for the CCHP, Bethlehem and Palestine.
