On the occasion of inscribing Birthplace of Jesus: Church of the Nativity and the Pilgrimage Route, Bethlehem, Palestine on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and Bethlehem Municipality are organizing a festival to celebrate the inscription. The festival shall be held under the patronage of his Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, and his Excellency Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.

The festival shall be held at Manger Square in Bethlehem on Saturday, 7 July, 2012 at 7:30, and shall be preceded by a procession the shall start at 6:30 form the Catholic Action Square heading towards Manger Square through the Pilgrimage Route.

yes It is worth mentioning that the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation in Bethlehem was commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to assist them in the preparation of the nomination document that was submitted to the World Heritage Committee.
