Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) in cooperation with Riwaq - Centre for Architectural Conservation Ramallah, and with the fund of the Government of Wallonia in Belgium through the Institute of Walloon Heritage (IPW) and Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI), intend to rehabilitate Dar Morcos Nassar building in the historic town of Bethlehem. This project comes within the efforts of CCHP, and the municipality of Bethlehem to maintain the cultural heritage and its sources in Bethlehem District.
CCHP hosted three experts from Belgium on Monday 13th of May for one week, to hold a vocational training and capacity building of engineers from CCHP and Riwaq, concerning humidity issues, the oil paints, and rehabilitation of wood elements related to the project.
The building will be re-used after rehabilitation as a headquarter for the Ma'an for life Organization that serves people with special needs and help them integrate into society.
