The meeting was attended by council members of Bethlehem municipality, and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Local Government and Bethlehem Governorate, in addition to the legal consultants that assist the Heritage for Development team in drafting the proposed law. Upon the completion of the meeting, the attendees agreed to hold a final meeting to revise the proposed draft before submitting it for final adoption.
Heritage for Development: Investing in People for the Protection and Management of Historic City Centres is a project funded by the European Commission, and is implemented by the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation in the towns of Bethlehem and Ramallah in Palestine and As-Salt in Jordan. It is implemented in cooperation with Centre for Architectural Conservation - Riwaq, Cultural Technologies and RehabiMed Association in cooperation with the municipalities of the three towns.
