voluntary KH1 Within the activities and programmes of community participation associated with the rehabilitation projects of traditional buildings carried out by the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) in Bethlehem, CCHP in cooperation with the Al-Khader Municipality have organized a voluntary work day in the historic town of Al-Khader with the participation of students from the Al-Khader Secondary School for Boys.

 

These efforts aim at improving the urban situation in the city, and enhance the sense of responsibility of the local community, especially the youth about the importance of cultural heritage and the need to preserve it.  This day is funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office.

 

voluntary KH The works included planting trees and flowers in the historic centre of Al-Khader, where the CCHP is currently implementing the "Development Plan and Rehabilitation of the Main Street of the Historic Centre of Al-Khader Project".
