These efforts aim at improving the urban situation in the city, and enhance the sense of responsibility of the local community, especially the youth about the importance of cultural heritage and the need to preserve it. This day is funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office.
The works included planting trees and flowers in the historic centre of Al-Khader, where the CCHP is currently implementing the "Development Plan and Rehabilitation of the Main Street of the Historic Centre of Al-Khader Project".
