House of Hope signing agreements

 

hope sign1 Among its wide collection of rehabilitation projects in Bethlehem District, Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) has signed the agreement to rehabilitate House of Hope building in Beit Jala with House of Hope Society in Bethlehem, the partner organization of the project.

The signing took place on Tuesday the 5th of January, 2016 at the municipality hall with the presence of Mr. Nicola Khamis mayor of Beit Jala, and Mr.Joseph Qassis, Mr. Yousef Al-Salti, Mr. Odeh Khalilieh, Mr. George Awad and Danny Awad, and Mrs. Jihan Juha Baseel representatives of House of Hope Society, and Arch. Issam Juha director of CCHP, and representative of UNESCO – Ramallah Office Mr. Mohammad Abu Hammad, and number of council members.

 

hope sign After completion of rehabilitation works, the House of Hope Society will operate the building for 12 years as a headquarter and residence for people with special needs.  This project is funded by the Government of Sweden / Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), through United Nations Educational, Scientific, Culture Organization (UNESCO) – Ramallah Office, under the “Local Development through the Rehabilitation and Revitalization of the Historic Built Environment in Palestine”.
