"THE TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE HERITAGE THAT EXISTS FROM PREVIOUS GENERATIONS PROVIDES A LINK BETWEEN PEOPLE AND THEIR PAST"
Within the centre’s campaign "My Heritage My Identity", the Centre For Cultural Heritage Preservation “CCHP” organized the third lecture under the title "Olive Tree", presented by Mr. Sami Backleh, on Monday, April 25 at the centre hall. The lecture was attended by number of directors and representatives of local bodies and institutions.
Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) in cooperation with the Bethlehem Municipality and the Bethlehem Youth Council, organized "Easter Competition" under the title "Bethlehem & Youth; a Symbol of Heritage and Civilization". The competition which was held on the 22nd of April, aimed to introduce to the participants to the history and authenticity of the heritage sites in Bethlehem.
Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation “CCHP” held a session with the board members of the House of Hope association in Beit Jala to discuss the operational plan of the building after rehabilitation, and faulty practices in restoration and solutions. The meeting was held at the association's headquarters on Friday, April 8, 2016, where Arch. Issam Juha welcomed the audience and spoke about the goal of the meeting and the value of these traditional buildings and methods of conservation.
Centre For Cultural Heritage Preservation organized a series of meetings with schoolchildren from Dar Al-Kalima School in Bethlehem to introduce them to our cultural heritage and its components and to promote awareness of the value and importance of this heritage and the initiatives undertaken by the centre for the advancement of cultural heritage and preserving it.
