"THE TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE HERITAGE THAT EXISTS FROM PREVIOUS GENERATIONS PROVIDES A LINK BETWEEN PEOPLE AND THEIR PAST"
Under the patronage of Dr. Kholoud Deibes Minister of Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities MOTA, CCHP in cooperation with Dar Salah Village Council inaugurated Dar Abed Sleiman and Dar Musleh in Dar Salah Village, funded by the Swedish Government through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida". Dar Abed Sleiman in currently occupied by Nibras Young Generation Society and Dar Musleh in used as an Art Centre.
As part of the awareness activities occurring along with the Rehabilitation of Hosh Al-Syrian project, which is funded by the Italian Cooperation through Palestinian Municipalities Support Programme (PMSP), Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation and Bethlehem Municipality held cleaning activities for a number of local and International volunteers who were hosted by International Palestinian Youth League (IPYL) in Hebron.
As part of the activities held by Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) to celebrate its 10th year anniversary through the generous fund of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida", and in cooperation with BirZeit University and Al-Quds University, a lecture entitled "The Agricultural Watchtowers in Palestine: a Case study of Al-Tireh Neighbourhood and the Village of Ein Qinya" was organized in December 20th, 2011 at Bethlehem Peace Centre.
The Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (teams of the municipalities of Bethlehem, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour, Battir Village Council and CCHP team, to the archeological site and the Ottoman village of Sabastiya. The visit aimed to introduce the participants to good practices of managing cultural heritage resources in the West Bank, and change experiences in this field.
