"THE TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE HERITAGE THAT EXISTS FROM PREVIOUS GENERATIONS PROVIDES A LINK BETWEEN PEOPLE AND THEIR PAST"
Under the programme "Local Development through the Rehabilitation and Revitalization of the Historic Built Environment in Palestine" implemented by Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) in Bethlehem district and funded by the Government of Sweden - Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency "Sida" through the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" - Ramallah Office, CCHP celebrated the completion of rehabilitation works of Dar Canawati in Bethlehem, under the patronage of Dr. Rami Al-Hamadallah Palestine Prime Minister. Dar Canawati will be used as a Health services in cooperation with Al-Rahma Association and classrooms for the activities of John Paul II Foundation.
Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation (CCHP) prepared the second panel discussion with the local community, under the title "The Living Room" on Thursday 3rd of October, in Al-Manara in Bethlehem. This meeting comes within the activities of the "Heritage for Development (Her4Dev): investing in people for the rehabilitation and management of historic towns" project in partnership with the municipality of Bethlehem.
